Hence Chrome OS is aimed at users who spend most of their computer time on the Internet. Google is targeting a range of devices, from netbooks to desktop PCs. Google has stated that the Google Chrome OS is separate from its Android operating system, which was designed primarily for use on smartphones. Google also announced that the Google Chrome OS will feature a novel security architecture. Im not sure how you would change the screen resolution, I only know the basics in Linux. Someone has created a version you can dump on a usb stick and boot on real hardware, might be worth having a look at. A small, friendly community of like minded people has developed over the years.
